About Terricha.

I am a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and mostly a nomad because I’ve moved around every one or two years it seems. But, that has made me a well rounded woman who loves the Lord. Pushing 30 in a few years (sigh), married with two step daughters and seeing babies in the near future. 🙂 I enjoy writing the most, but also love to sing in my church choir or with my husband James in the car or at home. An alumnus of Cleveland Heights High School (2003), I have a bachelor’s degree in English with a writing minor from Spelman College (2007) and a master’s degree in Magazine, Newspaper, and Online Journalism from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications (2008). I’ve been in print journalism for four years with previous internship, college and professional experience at Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, The Spelman Spotlight, Hope for Women magazine, The Daily Orange, The Student Voice, The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, Mansfield News Journal, Bucyrus Telegraph-Forum and The Madison County Herald. I am currently a suburban reporter with The Clarion-Ledger in Jackson, Mississippi. As I gain experience in journalism and incorporate social media into my work, my passion to serve the metro area is at the forefront.
